Keith G. Myers is co-founder of LHC Group and has served as chairman and CEO since 1994. He is a co-founder and serves on the boards of the Partnership for Quality Home Healthcare and the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation. Mr. Myers received credentials from the National Association for Home Care and Hospice in 1999 and was granted credentials by the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 2005. In June 2003, Mr. Myers was named the regional Entrepreneur of the Year for outstanding performance in the field of healthcare services and was officially inducted as a lifetime member of the National Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame in November of the same year. He has participated in the preparation of numerous home health policy white papers and presentations to members of both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.

W.J. "Billy" Tauzin

W.J. "Billy" Tauzin

Congressman W.J. "Billy" Tauzin was appointed lead director in 2005. Congressman Tauzin is the former president and CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, a trade group that serves as one of the pharmaceutical industry's top lobbying groups. He served 12 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Louisiana's Third Congressional District. From 2001 to 2004, Congressman Tauzin served as chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He also served as a senior member of the House Resources Committee and deputy majority whip. Prior to being elected to Congress, Congressman Tauzin was a member of the Louisiana State Legislature, where he served as chairman of the House Natural Resources Committee and chief administration floor leader. He serves on the board of directors of Entergy Corporation. Congressman Tauzin received a bachelor's degree from Nicholls State University and earned his law degree at Louisiana State University.

Monica F. Azare

Monica F. Azare was named a director in 2007. She serves as vice president and deputy general counsel for video franchising at Verizon Communications and has applied her extensive public policy background in several previous leadership positions during her nearly 20 years at Verizon, including senior vice president of corporate communications and employee engagement; region president for New York and Connecticut; and executive director and senior counsel of federal affairs. Ms. Azare’s distinguished career also includes service as vice president of federal affairs for Insight Communication, as well as chief counsel to then House Energy and Commerce Chairman Billy Tauzin. Ms. Azare is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Corporate Counsel of Women of Color. She was a 2006-2007 David Rockefeller Fellow.

Ms. Azare serves for a number of non-profit organizations, including board positions with the Partnership for New York City Foundation (Audit Committee); New York City Citizen’s Union; Metropolitan Museum of Art Advisory Council on Cultural Engagement; and Louisiana State University Foundation National Board. A Louisiana native, Ms. Azare received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and earned her law degree from the Southern University Law Center.

Teri G. Fontenot

Teri G. Fontenot was appointed as a director in 2019. In March 2019, Ms. Fontenot retired from Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, the largest birthing and neonatal intensive care health system in Louisiana and the 16th largest obstetric service in the country, after 27 years in numerous roles, including serving as president and chief executive officer since 1996. She previously served as chief financial officer for hospitals in Louisiana and Florida from 1982 to 1991.

Ms. Fontenot currently serves on the board of directors for Amerisafe, and was previously a director of Landauer until its acquisition in 2017. She a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives Board of Governors and the American Hospital Association’s Center for Health Innovation Advisory Board, as well as a number of local and state boards. She previously served as chair of the American Hospital Association, chair of the Audit Committee for the Federal Reserve Bank Sixth District – Atlanta Board, and chair of the Audit Committee for the Capital One/Hibernia Mutual Funds Board.

Jonathan D. Goldberg

Mr. Goldberg was elected a director of Almost Family in 1997 and served continuously until the merger with LHC Group. Mr. Goldberg is the managing member of the law firm of Goldberg Simpson in Louisville, Kentucky. He joined the firm in 1975 and has served as managing partner/managing member since 1991. Mr. Goldberg's practice primarily includes general commercial litigation and employment law. He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in history and earned his law degree from the University of Louisville. Mr. Goldberg's legal background brings a different perspective to the board. His expertise in labor, employment, and business law provides the board important regulatory and governance experience.

Mr. Goldberg is also a member of the anti-trust and labor sections of the American Bar Association, and a member of the Kentucky and Louisville Bar Associations. He is past chairman of the Jefferson County Waste Management District Board, past chairman of the Louisville Visual Arts Association and the Louisville Theatrical Association, and is a member of the board of directors of the Greater Louisville Fund for the Arts and a trustee of the Jewish Hospital Heritage Fund for Excellence, a foundation whose purpose is to fund medical research and support the Jewish community of Kentucky.

Clifford S. Holtz

Clifford S. Holtz was elected a director for Almost Family in 2017, and joined the LHC Group board when the two companies finalized their merger in April 2018. Mr. Holtz currently serves as chief operating officer for the American Red Cross in Washington, DC. He has served in various leadership positions at the American Red Cross since joining the organization in 2011. Mr. Holtz's previous experience includes serving as president of North American enterprise sales for Nortel Networks Corp., in Denver and as president of metro markets for AT&T Corp., in New York. He earned a BS in business administration (magna cum laude) from State University of New York at Albany and an MBA with concentrations in marketing and management information systems from the University of Chicago.

John L. Indest

John L. Indest, LHC Group's former president and chief operating officer, has served as a director since 2000 and acts as a special adviser to the CEO. He previously served as an executive vice president and senior vice president with the company. Prior to joining LHC Group, Mr. Indest served as president, CEO and co-owner of Homebound Care Inc., a regional home health provider. Mr. Indest has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Subcommittee on healthcare issues and was co-chairman of the Louisiana Task Force on Ethics, overseeing compliance issues applicable to home health and hospice in the state of Louisiana. He formerly served on the board of directors of the National Association of Home and Hospice Care. Mr. Indest is a registered nurse with a master's degree in health services administration from the University of St. Francis.

Ronald T. Nixon

Ronald T. Nixon has served as a director since 2001. Mr. Nixon is a founding principal of The Catalyst Group, which has managed two small business investment companies, one participating preferred SBIC and six private equity investment funds. Prior to joining The Catalyst Group, Mr. Nixon operated companies in the manufacturing, distribution and service sectors. Mr. Nixon has served or presently serves on the boards of directors of numerous private companies. Mr. Nixon holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a registered professional engineer in Texas.

W. Earl Reed III

W. Earl Reed, III was elected a director for Almost Family in 2000, and joined the LHC Group board when the two companies finalized their merger in April 2018. Currently, Mr. Reed is founder and chairman of the board of Springstone, LLC., a private equity sponsored owner-operator of psychiatric hospitals. From 1998 to 2010, Mr. Reed served as chief executive officer of The Allegro Group, a healthcare financial advisory firm that advises public and private healthcare organizations, including providing interim management services. From August 2005 to September 2007, Mr. Reed served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of LifeCare Holdings, Inc., a privately owned operator of 18 long-term hospitals.

William Brent Turner

William Brent Turner

Brent Turner was appointed a director in 2014. He recently served as president of Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc., one of the country's leading providers of inpatient behavioral healthcare. He previously served as the executive vice president, finance and administration of Psychiatric Solutions, Inc., from 2005 to 2010, and as vice president, treasurer and investor relations of Psychiatric Solutions from 2003 to 2005. From late 2008 through 2010, Mr. Turner also served as the division president of Psychiatric Solutions, overseeing facilities in Texas, Illinois, and Minnesota.

From 1996 until 2001, Mr. Turner was employed by Corrections Corporation of America, a private prison operator, serving as treasurer from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Turner currently serves on the board of directors of Surgery Partners (SGRY). Mr. Turner also currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors for the National Association of Behavioral Healthcare (NABH), and also served as its chairman in 2009. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, from which he graduated cum laude, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.
